At All About Contents we are often asked questions before we begin our work. Here are the answers to some of the most common questions we receive. We hope you find them helpful:
Q: What do you consider to be contents?
A: Contents can include furniture, bedding, clothes, electronic devices, jewelery, etc. In a nustshell, contents generally refers to anything within the home that can be relocated to another part of the home or offsite.
Q: Where will my possessions be stored?
A: All contents are stored locally in a state-of-the-art secure location with 24-hr security, as well as surveillance cameras and motion detectors. Contents are inventoried using iCat contents management software before being taken from your home or office. All of your contents are kept in individual units separate from other customer’s items.
Q:Are you licensed, bonded and insured? If so, how much are you insured up to?
A: All About Contents is licensed, bonded and insured. The company is insured up to a million dollars in liability for damages. We will be happy to provide documentation which shows coverage upon request.
Q: What if any of my contents are damaged as a result of the disaster?
A) During the pack out, non-salvageable items will be documented in iCat and we will produce a non-restorable list for your insurance provider. While we always do our best to bring your contents back to their pre-disaster condition, there are cases where this is not possible.
Q: I have never been through any type of calamity that has damaged my home and never have had to make an insurance claim. Can you help me with the process?
A: Absolutely! While All About Contents and its employees deal with these situations on a daily basis, we understand that for our customers it is a new and stressful experience. All About Contents has years of experience dealing with insurance claims and losses, and have worked with all the major insurance carriers, including Allstate, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, Prudential, USAA, and more. We are experts at writing and submitting property claims, and use the industry-standard billing software Xactimate when submitting our estimates and invoices.
